Does electrolysis hurt?

For most people, today’s methods do not cause a “lot� of pain, but it is known not to feel pleasant. Your Electrologist controls the amount of current dispersed into the follicle and can monitor your comfort level.

Most people report feeling a pinching feeling or a temporary heat sensation in the area where electrolysis is being treated. The current that you feel is going to depend on your pain tolerance. Everyone is different, so it is hard to say how it will feel for everyone.

Since this process involves treating and removing each hair "individually", we encourage you to be patient with the process.

How many treatments do I need?

The number of electrolysis treatments needed to permanently remove hair varies from person to person, but typically ranges from 8 to 14 months and that depends on hair density, heredity, and medicinal implications. The total time it takes to complete the treatments can be anywhere from a minimum of 8 months to 2 years.

Please Review Some Special Conditions:
- Larger areas, like the legs, require longer and more treatments.
- Coarse hair, like some thick wire chin hairs will need more time.
- Red hair, due to the pheomelanin in the skin will need additional time.
- All White and Gray hairs require more treatments as well.
